"Gideon's Knot" is a powerful and disturbing story about guilt, responsibility, sadness and the complex relationship in communication, as well as the conditions in the educational system, the problems that a child faces throughout childhood. At a school meeting between mother Corinne and teacher Heather, which takes place after a tragic event, through a delicate, emotionally filled/tense dialogue, questions about children's creativity, freedom of expression, art, the responsibility of teachers and parents, social networks, peer violence, loneliness are raised, through which the deep pain is gradually revealed and the possible culprit is sought, and even pointed out. Jonah Adams is a representative of the new generation of American playwrights. She graduated from DePaul University in Chicago and received her master's degree from Hunter College in New York. She is the author of 20 plays in which she builds the dramatic structure through exceptionally strong and richly nuanced characters and places them in complex, interconnected psychological situations. She thematically addresses current social issues. Her most famous works are: "Gideon's Knot" with more than 40 premiere performances around the world, as well as "World Builders", "Sans Merci", "The Angel Eaters Trilogy". The American Society of Theater Critics awarded her the Steinberg Award for the work "Gideon's Knot".
