Robert Veljanovski is an actor and current director of the Drama Theater, where he has been a member of the ensemble since 1997. As director (both before and today), he directs the theater towards a clear public mission, production discipline and international cooperation: he establishes programs for new domestic texts and independent productions, initiates awards ("Goran Stefanovski") and partnerships with national theaters in the region, as well as co-productions with European institutions. In the period 2013–2017, he led the theater through organizational reforms, stabilization of financial operations and increased visibility at festivals; from 2024, he will again head the institution. In parallel, he is a full-time professor of acting and stage speech at the international university EUROPA PRIMA and author of the manual "On theatrical speech - from dramatic language to diction". He also performs on the DTS stage as an actor - in the new production "Bullets Over Broadway" based on a text by Woody Allen and Douglas McGrath, directed by Nenad Vitanov, and is present in front of the camera with "Bumblebees" (1994-1995), "Angels of the Waste" (1995), "Mockumentary of Christ" (2018), "Kino Lyubov" (2022), "Bistra Voda" (2023–), "Utre Uśredne" (2025), among other titles.
